Contemporary Pilates , focuses on a more dynamic approach of exercises, while moving through visualization, breath and alignment. The core of its principles, is based on body awareness, coordination, flow and precision, bringing our attention to either simple or complex exercises variations, suitable for all levels of experience. The special element of this class, is that it trains both muscle strength and muscle mobility and balance, helping the participants to build new patterns of movement awareness that can use in their everyday life. Through a diverse set of movements, we will build trust, acceptance and a harmonized use of our energy in order to activate our physical body.
"I have completed my BASI CCT education in mat and equipment with a further education on Clinical Pilates for injuries and pathologies, studied dance at the BA of Contemporary Dance at ZZT Cologne and Etage Berlin, and have a longterm curiosity and excitement for movement and its healing rebellious possibilities . Parallel I am a Crossfit and functional training passionate lover, which spicys up my teachings with athletic dynamic elements, sweaty inhales exhales and juicy fun .Since the last 7 years I have an ongoing practice as a student and teacher in somatic practices like Klein Technique and Dynamic Expansion, practices that have enriched not only my classes and my art but also the way I connect and feel the fluid bodies and their articulations around me. In my Pilates path, Somatics are a bridge in order to understand deeper how to enter postures, breath patterns and length beyond other things. I consider my teaching a body-neutral approach and I try to work on how to create a space for the students to feel supported ,working with and not against their weaknesses, highlighting their powers and inviting joy . Having started contemporary and ballet dance at my 17 years, I experienced a demanding and complex journey in order to be invited to study it professionally. My whole journey from this point on, has given me a lot of patience, persistence and understanding in witnessing bodies, offering precise individual feedback and motivating them to get out of their comfort zone when its available . My desire for my classes is to create spaces away from any form of discrimination, based on connection, concentration, celebration and playfulness . I would characterize me as an energetic, communicative, confident and generous personality with deep body knowledge and motivation to share and develop my practices.
Either on mat , on the reformer, chair, cadillac or spine corrector, I have builded classes that concentrate with slightly diverse offerings. such as, Power Pilates , Sculpt and Strength , Athletic Pilates,Somatic Pilates , Dynamic Stretch Pilates and Balance Pilates . Due to my extensive experience in Pilates, fitness, Dance and Somatics and my parallel regular training in Crossfit, I am giving next to contemporary Pilates, classes like “Sculpt and Strength”, “Active Mobility”, specialized workouts and “Barre”, beyond others.
